Cafés We Found & Loved

On a glowing street lined with flagship boutiques—Dior, Loewe, and Prada glimmering into the Shanghai dusk—I came across something quietly radical.

A modest storefront.
A hand-painted sign that read: Charity Coffee.
A mission taped to the window—just a printed poster, humble and heartfelt.

In partnership with the Shanghai Jiahua Law Office, this café offers daily gratitude to the people who keep the city running.

25 cups of West East Special Coffee and 25 cups of Coffee Fruit Tea are given out—free of charge—to sanitation workers and delivery staff.
No app. No scan. No social media. Just kindness.

It’s the kind of generosity that asks for nothing, and gives everything.

In a world of curated storefronts and exclusivity, Charity Coffee reminded me what true luxury looks like:

Not rare materials, but shared humanity.
Not limited fashion drops, but limitless impact.

It may never trend on Instagram, but its legacy will brew quietly, cup by cup.

Here’s the Google pin drop — in case you’re ever in the neighbourhood, and want to witness generosity disguised as a takeaway window.
